Paths

A Path is much like it sounds like, it's a Path an Azama Spirit can take in life. The Azama doesn't have to rush to decide if it wants to follow  a Path, as this decision can be left until later in life, or it can be made when the Azama first reaches adulthood.

There are five Paths, each named after the Azama who discovered it. A Path allows for an Azama to further their powers over earth, sometimes allowing them to control water, lava, and even the sky. Without choosing a Path an Azama is still quite the opponet, as they have unlimted power over earth. A Path would only be chosen if the Azama wished to further itself for the good of earth, or the destruction of the earth element.

To begin taking a Path an Azama must return to it's birthland and lay eyes upon the High One. Only then will the opportunity to take a Path arise. Although a Path is laid out with some powers promised,  taking a Path only opens the door to more possiblities. So the powers listed below might not be all an Azama is capable of learning. An Azama can only choose one Path.

The Five Paths Are;

The Ferem Path ~ By choosing this Path the Azama Spirit is allowing itself to further it's powers to the control of  lava and ice. When the Azama has been along this Path for  a season it will then gain  more powers, most noteably the power to temporarily  rip a soul from someone just by desiring it and the control over the sky, weather and electricity. This Path is Neutral.

The Sherah Path ~ Choosing this Path will allow the Azama Spirit to gain control over healing. See an Azama on it's own cannot grow healing plants. Those on the Sherah Path are frequently referred to as the Healers or the Shaman.  When first starting out on the Path an Azama will gain the power to grow plants with full healing properties - meaning they could grow plants which heal minor wounds when digested, or ones which fully ressurrect and fully heal when digested. After one season one on the Sherah Path would gain the power over  Spirit-use, which means the Azama can summon spirits to help fight/protect, lead a spirit to the afterlife, or simply just see the spirits of the dead.  This Path is Good.
Do note that an Azama on the Sherah Path cannot heal any creature capable of healing itself.

The Alu Path ~ This Path allows for the Azama to call upon other creatures for help, giving them complete beast mastery which will allow them to use a simple squirrel for help, or use a large dragon. Creatures cannot resist the call of one on the Alu Path, as it's hypnotic to them. After one season an Azama on this Path will further it's mastery to the point where it could even use a Raveen if they so desired, while it also allows for them to summon creatures from far away. Not only does an Azama on the Alu Path have beast mastery, it also has the power to shapeshift under the light of the moons. They are considered to be the true descendants of the Vertian Hounds when they gain this power, as Vertian Hounds are shapeshifters. There is no pre-determined form for one on the Alu Path, it is often unique for each Azama. This Path is Neutral.

The Yumi Path ~ This Path centers around the darkness, so any Azama who takes this path will instantly gain night vision if it doesn't already possess such a power. At first  the Azama will be able to manipulate darkness/shadows, causing areas to be shrouded in darkness  or causing a shadow to become "real" in the form of an inanimate object . After one season the Azama will then  be ablle to shadow-slide, which means the Azama will be able to teleport by using shadows, it will also be able to turn shadows in to living objects capable of moving and attacking. This Path is Neutral.

The Dojanshi Path
~ This Path is an extremely rare Path, as in all it's essence it is the embodiment of all that the Azama Spirits are against. An Azama cannot freely choose this Path, as they have to fit the part for it, which means they have to be in love with destruction or causing pain for others. This is something which usually never occurs in an Azama unless they've lived a hard life and come from questionable lineage, by this "queationable lineage" it is meant the Azama is born to an Azama already on the Dojanshi Path, or one being close to the Path.   The Dojanshi Path gives the Azama the power to grow poisonous and deadly plants which at first can only kill when digested, but after one season the plants can kill by simply touching a living creature.  Also after one season those on the Dojanshi Path gain the power to demon-use, which means they can summon earth demons to aid them. They are also immune to all kinds of poison, and some even have poisonous  breath. This Path is Evil.
